Back to School

SJS First day of School

The first day of school has been quite memorable, so far. I wasn't the only one anxious about today. Boy wonder was a mess. He woke up with butterflies in his stomach but I know that he is stronger than me. I can't wait to see him when he tells me that he made tons of friends and he loved it! He always does.

Girl wonder on the other hand was all smiles and she likes her new school "costume." She's was all smiles when I kissed her hand good-bye after a reading of the kissing hand by her teacher. A very sweet gesture.

Kissing Hand

  1. Heh, heh. Boy wonder reminds me of my own brother, what with that look( never a smile on back-to-school day ). me, I'd be all smiles and couldn't wait to start!

    Liza, I take it the school duds are new? BW doesn't look like he fancies the smart looking "costume" but they both look just grand! :)

  9. @lg -- Thank you...this is a prime example of making lemonade out of lemons. The original was out of focus so I just went with it. I emphasized the "oops" with the editing. Never discard a bad exposure.

    @Kristin -- thanks...I love them, too!

    @subby -- LOL! I have to keep reminding boy wonder that daddy has to wear an itcy uniform, too.

  17. What lovely kids you have. It's a really nicely taken photo too.

    Canada doesn't have to go back till September 8th. Isn't it beastly hot in Italy to concentrate on school so early?

  21. New situations can be intimidating even for the most brave. How did Boy Wonder feel after he got home? More at ease?
