Kitchen

Another glimpse of our very normal and productive kitchen. Yes, I'm still cooking up a storm and making all sorts of plans for meals. The meal planning has made daily life exponentially easier. I found worksheets here that allow you to plan four meals weekly and leaves extra space for additional items. I use the worksheets weekly.

Why four? Realistically, I don't cook a huge meal everyday and leave room for take out, dining out, left-overs and sandwich nights; makes for very satisfied and happy tummies.

We're touring kitchens this week on linked 52. Check out some other great kitchen details.

  5. It must be wonderful to have a kitchen again.
I love those worksheets, so easy, but...why didn't I ever think of doing that??? I go to the store now and wander around, it's pathetic.
I like all the light in your kitchen, mine is dark, too much brown wood.

  6. I probably cook about four meals per week also. The kids are so little that they either don't eat what I cook or they eat so little that there are plenty of left overs. I LOVE leftover night! It makes the whole week of cooking feel less daunting. I'm going to check out those meal planning sheets. I found that when I plan out my meals on my calendar, making dinner is so much easier. And I love your white colander :)

  8. Yes! I used to get so overwhelmed and would fail miserably when I tried to meal plan everynight. I've found success in meal planning every other day. That way there are leftovers in the fridge and it cuts down on my time spend cooking. Love the 4 meal plan. Love your images, too. :)

  9. I am a meal planner, it's a necessity! I live an hour from a reasonably priced store so i have to plan or i would spend a fortune. I try to plan for at least 12 meals since I cook 6 nights a week. This small town living has put a cramp in my style though, before we moved i cooked 3-4 times a week with lots of take out and fast food!

  11. I always plan for three to four meals as well, and one on the weekend. Life happens, so I leave room for "scrambles" night or grilled cheeses. Gonna go check out those worksheets. I'm not a huge meal planner (often just do it in my head) but maybe these will inspire me. :)

  12. Going to go check out those worksheets. I'm terrible with the meal planning...and the shopping...and when to buy what so it doesn't spoil, but I don't want to have to go to the store every day, etc... LOL.
Like I said...going to go check out those worksheets now. Hahaha...
Meals are hard to plan because my husband is rarely home and Max eats such a limited menu. It'll get easier once Max is a little older. :)
